Daily Devotional Day 101
Once a person receives salvation, their experience with God should begin to come from the inside out through the power of the Holy Spirit. This will begin to happen to us from reading the Bible, through worship and in our everyday lives.
Yes, there is still influence from the outside, but the function of this influence is to allow us to continue to communicate with the world. Often, the Lord uses the outside stimuli to show us and confirm to us what He's already revealing to us through His voice inside of us.
This revelation is called conviction and walking by the Holy Spirit's influence. It is also known as abiding in Him. We actually are meant to harmonize with Him. This is the very process that we study in the life worth living series. This is the rebuilding of David's Tabernacle. It is much different and operates differently than Moses' Tabernacle. We will study the differences in future posts.
The Holy Spirit is a person inside of us. Therefore, we live with Him everywhere. He is always attempting to influence and lead us all day long from inside out. We do not leave Him back in our prayer room. He comes with us. There is no separation from our spiritual and natural life. We should now be able to hear and be His voice for the people we come in contact with.
This thinking dismantles dualistic thinking. Dualistic thinking is that which separates the spiritual or religious life from our everyday natural life. In the abiding life, they are both one and the same life. This is why every Christian is called to do the work of the ministry, not just a special group of people. The ministry is meant to be every Christian harmonizing with the voice of the Holy Spirit and spreading His word and presence everywhere we go.

Meditate on the abiding life. What does that look like for you? When and how are you living a dualistic life? Ask the Holy Spirit to bring you into the abiding life. Ask Him to help you receive His conviction, His guidance, and His power to live IN Christ.
