Day 31

When the soul decides to rule through the intellect, it becomes overactive and overruns the spirit. It fails in its mission to serve our spirit and becomes our master rather than servant to our spirit. When ruled by our soul, we are tossed to and fro by our human emotions. At that point, our actions take on the characteristics of the fallen natural man. The result of Adam's sin in the Garden of Eden is living with the Tree of Good and Evil without the Tree of Life.

We were separated from God, and knowledge built up the natural man. Our spirits lost their power. However, now that we have the Holy Spirit, He strengthens our inner spirit man to rein in our flesh!

Ask the Holy Spirit to strengthen your spirit. Ask Him to show you when your emotions (natural man/soul) are directing you and when your spirit is in control. Notice the difference in outcomes.
