Daily Devotional Day 37

Adam and Eve were aligned perfectly with the voice in the garden. Their minds and emotions were tranquil. Can you imagine how tranquil and peaceful it must have been just hearing His voice and nothing else? Their wills were unchallenged by any information. They had only information and revelation from the Father's voice. There was no second opinion. Can you imagine starting out life with this ability and then losing it? How horrible. We start out our life in this fallen state without this ability to hear His voice. We build a memory of sin and its consequences.

Adam and Eve had none of this until they personally sinned. That's why Paul was delighted at the thought when he said," being absent from the body is to be present with the Lord." No more distractions. What a release!

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the distractions of your life and to empower you to remove them. Making time for fel

lowship with Him is a key to the Life Worth Living. Set aside time each day to quiet your mind and seek His voice. This is practice with the goal of being able to abide in Him and hear His voice 24/7!
