Daily Devotional Day 44

When you add kindness and the other fruits of the spirit ( love, joy, patience, long-suffering, goodness, etc ) to information, you see things differently. When you take in information through the lens of the Holy Spirit, it's amazing how different it can be interpreted. It is the very difference between truth and lies. A lie does not only come through the devil but can come through our natural senses. If we are left to ourselves to interpret information that we gather without God's touch on it, the information can be false. Jesus said," If you have seen me, you've seen the Father." He was saying that if you know and recognize Him, you will see life through the character traits of our heavenly Father. Jesus is His Father's expressed image.

Whether it is marriage, finances, your job or simply examining yourself or others, the facts will always look very different in light of His character. This is our goal.

Practice today looking at things through God's eyes. Begin with the simple fact that God is love and look at your family, co-workers, customers, and the world through the lens of love.
