Daily Devotional Day 48

The tree of good and evil held only information. It included all information in all forms. It was information without the touch of God's character on it and without His influence. That's what made it wrong. It was information that led Eve into the fallen state by being self dependent. She exercised her will without cooperating and harmonizing first with her Creator. She was now in disharmony with Him and out of relationship. Then through the information offered by the tree, she was made wise, but in a natural sense.

It is what the Bible calls worldly wisdom, not God's wisdom. It gave her a false sense of security. Information gives us a sense of empowerment. It can make the natural man look good and self-sufficient. This is the fatal flaw. Information without God's input and character. This information is flawed and false.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you pause and seek input from Him on information. Ask Him for the patience to wait for His wisdom. It takes patience and practice to run all information through the mind of Christ/Holy Spirit!
