Daily Devotional Day 50

Our soul (our mind, emotion, and will) was designed originally to be servant to our spirit. This helps us to process information correctly. Like Eve, the soul, as it gathers information, gains its own strength. Our soul's strength can be nurtured and strengthened through experience and exercise.

The soul can overpower and stifle the spirit's ability to maintain its influence and control. The soul was never meant to dominate the spirit and act on its own. The result is that the strength of the soul overrules the spirit's ability to maintain contact with God and make proper decisions with information.

Satan's tactic is very effective and will continue to be effective until we learn how to maintain connection with God's voice 24 hours a day. We must maintain rule over our soul through the strength of our spirit. That is why it is important to maintain a healthy, strong spirit.

God sent the Holy Spirit to impart, empower, energize, and strengthen our spirit man. The Holy Spirit is in you, and you already have His gifts. We are not to be ruled by our own thoughts and emotions.

Ask the Holy Spirit for the awareness of His power, energy, and strength. Ask Him for the ability to tap into His gifts in order to live a spirit led life.
