Daily Devotional Day 78

When we accomplish harmonizing our natural life with the life of Christ, we will no longer be tossed to and fro by the winds of life. The definition of tossed is to push, propel, hurl, fling, and thrust.

People today are tossed about by their circumstances compulsively. It is difficult to hear the Holy Spirit's voice in that condition. It's good to list and memorize everything that compulsively throws us into being tossed around. There are problems when our desires do not agree with God's word.

There are problems in our spirit with hurts and bitterness, problems in our emotions, problems in our thinking, problems in our conscience, and problems with knowing God's will. We will not be able to fulfill the life that Christ bought for us. All these problems are solved when we partake of the complete salvation of our entire being. God starts from outside in to initially reach us and then from the inside out to bring total reconstruction. He begins with the born-again salvation many of us have experienced and then empowers us to move on to perfection and completion.

List the circumstances in your life that have tossed you to and fro in the past and those that are doing it now. Are there hurts, resentments, bitterness, and ungodly thoughts ruling your soul? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any obstacles that are in your way. Ask Him to search your mind, emotions, and will and bring them into harmony with Him.
