2 Peter 1:16-19 "For we did not follow cleverly devised stories or myths when we made known to you the power and the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but we were eyewitnesses of His majesty for when He was invested with honor and the radiance of the shekinah glory from God the Father.

Such a voice as this came to Him from the splendid majestic glory in the bright cloud and overshadowed Him saying, 'this is my son, my beloved son in whom I am well pleased and delighted'. We actually heard this voice made from heaven when we were together with him on the Holy Mountain. So we have the prophetic word made more certain, and you do well to pay close attention. "

Jesus took three of His disciples, Peter, James, and John to the mountain. He was transfigured into who He truly was as the Son of God. It says His garments became white right in front of them, and His face shined with glory. It was so radical and overwhelming that they fell down. Jesus was showing them what transformation looks like.

This transformation is meant to be ours also. They had witnessed the process of transformation to perfection. Peter's response to this phenomenon was, "Do you want us to build a tabernacle here?" He wanted something outside through his senses; but this transformation comes from the inside out. Of course, Jesus refused to do this because He was the new Tabernacle. The Holy Spirit of God was inside Jesus. Jesus was about to send them out. They were not to return to some garden with a tabernacle. The garden of Eden would not be reproduced again in the old form as an outside utopia. He was the new prototype. Jesus was complete. Peter never forgot that experience. It was the most memorable event in Peter's history walking with Christ. He mentions it as the most important event validating the power of the salvation experience. Peter and the others on the mount saw Jesus Christ's divine nature coming from His inner man outward. This is what Peter remembered above all about Christ. He saw Him for who He was. Peter realized this experience is also to be ours in salvation. Peter said, " If these things are yours, you will never be unfruitful in the knowledge of Him." To know Him is to know how He operated on the earth. Peter said, "we will never stumble."

Just think of the ramification of that. We have the victory. Our adversary can not affect us on the inside. If we have the Holy Spirit and His power inside us, we, too, will shine with Shekinah Glory!

When people see us, they will see the light of Christ!

This is the perfection and the complete salvation! As John says, "we shall walk in the earth as He did!" What a promise!

Can you see Christ in yourself or others? Have you seen that light in yourself in others?

Ask the Holy Spirit to show you the Shekinah Glory!
