Daily Devotional Day 80
"As for you, son of man, describe the temple to the house of Israel so that they will be ashamed of their sins and let them measure its plan in detail. If they are ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the design of the temple its layout, its exits, its entrances, all its designs, all its statutes and all its laws. And write it down in their site so that they may keep its whole design and all its statutes and do them. This is the law of the temple. Its entire area all around on the top of the mountain shall be most holy; behold, this is the law of the Temple. Put far away from me their idolatrous prostitution and the corpses and monuments of their kings, and I will dwell in their midst forever." (Ezekiel 43)
God told Ezekiel there were laws to the temple. He was not talking about the laws of the temple that was then in existence because he says in the scripture that these laws are to be kept forever. This means not only today but also means always. However, there is no longer a temple. The physical temple was destroyed. God was referring to a different temple. Jesus talked about His body as the temple. Jesus said in the book of John, "If you tear this Temple down, I will build it up in three days." He was talking about His body as the temple. This very statement was brought up at Jesus' inquisition.
His statement was used to convict Him and sentence Him to death. He was foretelling of His death and resurrection! This was His purpose to come and be the walking Tabernacle of God. He came in order that we, by the power of the Holy Spirit, would also walk in 'newness of life'. This is the life worth living. There are laws to the house of God. What are these laws, and how do they work? The secrets of the Tabernacle revealed this system of operating. The Tabernacle is a prototype for the human being, and the laws concerning its operation lead to spiritual transformation. If we keep these laws, we gain three very powerful abilities.
We are able to effectively deny self, our natural man, by applying the cross to our life by faith. We decrease in our natural strength and self dependency so that the Holy Spirit can increase in His influence in our life. The voice of God is restored to us. The Holy Spirit then can work in us through His resurrection power so we can harmonize and therefore cooperate with God.
This all occurs from the inside out. We are then used to destroy the works of the devil and take back the dominion God intended for us to have. This is the restoration of the kingdom of God on Earth. The paradigm of the Tabernacle contains all the laws to the spiritual life that make our life "a life worth living."

Pray the Holy Spirit enlightens these spiritual truths, gives you insight, and inspires this transformation. It is His work IN us. Ask that He begin and continue this work in you.
