Daily Devotional Day 88
The law was a shadow of things to come. In other words, the law and the Tabernacle give us the history of God's people as a corporate body, their progression towards completion, and the next age. The Tabernacle is also a picture of the spiritual timeline in an individual's personal journey of transformation through their salvation experience. It is a picture of both the church and the individual in the complete salvation process.
We study the Tabernacles because they give us an understanding concerning the design of our house, the laws governing our mind, emotions, will, and spirit during the transformation process of salvation.
In Hebrews 9:24, it says, "Christ has not entered into the holy place made with hands." He is entering our spirit by the power of His Holy Spirit. Our spirit becomes the Holy of Holies. God always intended to dwell inside His people. Remember the pillar of the cloud by day, and the fire by night was always with them through the desert experience. It was not meant to be the sum total of their experience but a confirming visual aid as they were still on their way to the promised land. They had the outside visual until the presence of God would dwell on the inside. God's spirit in our spirit is the promised land of rest.God is a god of detail.
The time it took to build the Tabernacle was nine months long, the same time it takes for a human to be formed. God's word says that He has prepared a body. He said that if all the laws of the house were kept, the result of this transformation was that a River of Life would rise slowly and eventually consume our entire lives and flow out to society around us. (Ezekiel 47 )
The word of God says that if God's people would follow the pattern, He would dwell in their midst forever. He instructed Ezekiel to show those who were willing to admit failure in their own strength, the whole design of the house where He would dwell forever. This represents an everlasting and abiding life of the spirit for all of us. He described the results like a river that flows so freely that it went everywhere in the earth and heals all of it. He is speaking of the very life of God flowing out from us. Wow!

Meditate on the power of a river, the power of living water over flowing out of you. Power to live, heal, and overcome the very life force of God! Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you to overflow!
