Day 21
Our natural life, called the soul, dwells between our spirit and body. It is the space between our spirit and body where we develop responses. The soul acts as a processor of outside information to our spirit and then from our spirit back out from our soul to our body. The soul includes our minds, our emotions, and our will. Each has a place in processing the information we receive, both from our five senses from the outside in and from our spirit inside out.

This outer part of us is first touched from our five senses (seeing, hearing, touching, smelling, tasting).
Then, we use it to respond to those things needing a response. First, our mind reads the information, and then our emotions determine the state we receive it in.
Our will is the part of our soul, the faculty, we react with. If we are spiritual, we are able to take the information into our spirit where we make sense of the input, then we respond from our spirit out. Everyone is born this way and lives from the system we are created with. Everyone, no exceptions, we all live inside out. The difference is how deep you let the information enter. Being spiritual means you let the information go inside to your spirit and be influenced by the Holy Spirit. The natural man just responds from his soul and never goes deeper into his spirit and the Holy Spirit.
Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you when you are reacting from your soul and when your actions are spirit driven. A spirit driven action starts with a pause and a check-in with Him, listening to that still small voice. A soul driven reaction is quick, emotion driven. Ask Him, what do you see? I know what I sense. What do you sense? Adding this check-in slows you down, at first. With practice, the pause will shorten.
