Daily Devotional Day 29

Our soul must gaze inwardly for strength and truth, not outwardly to other sources. Worldly information cannot be our source of strength and security. We need something deeper to anchor us. We need a translator that is better than our own mind. We have the ability to tap into the Creator of the universe for this translation. If we do not have the Holy Spirit in us speaking and empowering us, we are left to ourselves. We are left to analyze, to decide and to act on our own.

This is the essence of our problem. A life apart from God's input is a carnal life and can offer only a measure of success. God's word tell us that when we harken to His voice, He will lead us to the promised land of peace and rest. In this chaotic world our only true peace will come from Him.

Ask the Holy Spirit for wisdom, revelation and a greater sense of His presence today. Pause and ask for His input on decisions before you act. We must practice this inward gaze daily. We must exercise our faith through experience!
